Local man becomes contestant on The Apprentice

LOCAL Canterbury man Vincent Disneur appears on tele tonight in the battle to become Lord Sugars seventh apprentice.

As one of 16 contenders for the job Mr Disneur claims his 'good looks' will be enough to see him through the series without hearing those oh so familiar words 'you're fired'.

Millions are set to tune in to watch the sales manager and his 15 opponents vying to prove to Lord Sugar that they have what it takes.

With a new format replacing the old it will no longer be a six figure salary at one of Lord Sugars companies up for grabs. Instead the winner will recieve £250,000 to start a business in which the partner will be none other than the Lord himself.

During his audition Mr Disneur stated: "A lot of family and friends suggested I audition for the show and I was intrigued by the new format so decided to go fit it.

"I can't say too much other than it was an amazing experience and very entertaining, although you never know how the producers are going to edit it."

All 12 tasks will be based around a start-up business idea designed to ready the contestants for what lies ahead should they win.

Mr Disneur added: "My positive approach and very good looks make me stand out from the crowd."
Whether  Lord Sugar and his right hand man/woman Nick Hewer and Karen Brady will be impressed by this attempt at charming it seems everyone is yet to be seen.
Fabian Riddle, 23, Canterbury, told us: "It's really good having a local man to support on the tele.

"I can tell you now me and my family will be sitting down in front of the tele every wednesday to cheer him on, bring it home Vincent."
