VIEWING figures of popular television show Britains Got Talent are allegedly slumping after comedian Michael McIntyre and star David Hasslehoff replaced Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell on the panel.
NEW judges David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre have failed to prevent viewing figures decreasing when the show returned at the weekend.
Music mogul and show supremo Simon Cowell has decided against appearing in the early phases of this years show although stating he will be back for the live shows.
And it appears that the Cowell factor is having a huge effect on the shows popularity. Figures for the opening day decreased by half a million going from 12.17million for last year's opening audition episode to 11.6million people watching the show this year at its peak.
Amanda Holden however denies any upset about the figures saying on twitter: "Simon is delighted with the ratings. Ratings were massive last night. We're all thrilled."
Programme makers are bracing themselves for a further dip however, on what they believe to be down to this years new line up.
Other former judge, Piers Morgan, was still rallying behined the troops congratulating the new arrivals and tweeting: "Loving The Hoff and Michael McIntyre on BGT - warm and funny judges."
The weather has also played its part in the slump. An early summer has brought many families out of the house for BBQs and beach days.
Some believe this to be the true reason behind the shows figures, only time will tell as to whether this is the case or not.
